This situation bothers me.
Have you ever experienced anything more frustrating than knowing you’ve correctly assessed a situation, but someone else insists they know better than you? Often, it’s more convenient to simply go along with the other person’s viewpoint to save time. However, in this particular instance, that approach proved unhelpful.
Why didn’t this man believe the customer when she told him the pump was broken? Rather than trying to convince both her and himself that another issue was at play, he could have taken immediate steps to fix the problem.
