They Start ‘Em Young
You really can’t blame this mother for being upset that a doctor encouraged a fifteen-year-old to drink a “midday coffee” for low energy. While it may succeed for office-working folk who feel lethargic in the afternoon (and frankly, that’s not a healthy habit even then), this seems like a big nono.
Coffee supposedly has some health benefits if drunk regularly, though not in excess. It can affect the development of a teenager, though, and really, we are all addicted to caffeine, so maybe let the kid live in blissful ignorance for a few more years before they get on the unfortunate bandwagon.
