#13: Volcanic Uncertainty: Earth’s Restless Giants
With its vast and captivating landscapes, Earth remains an enigmatic planet with much left to explore and comprehend. While humanity may appear to have a firm grip on our ability to control and understand the world around us, the reality is far more complex.

Volcanoes, once prominently featured in historical narratives, have somewhat faded from the collective consciousness. However, their dormancy does not guarantee perpetual quiescence. Surprisingly, there are approximately 40 supervolcanoes scattered across our planet, and we find ourselves 24,000 years overdue for a catastrophic eruption. This unsettling fact reminds us that Earth’s geologic forces, often unpredictable, continue to shape our world.
