A Rice-Based Misunderstanding: The Phone and the Grain
Most of us are acquainted with the age-old trick of placing a water-damaged phone in a bag of rice, where the grains act as moisture absorbers, potentially breathing new life into the device. However, in the tale we are about to recount, a seemingly straightforward instruction— “put it in rice”— takes an unexpected turn.

Instead of following the conventional method of placing the waterlogged phone inside a bag of rice, the protagonist of our story opted for a rather unconventional approach. They inserted rice directly into their phone, hoping the grains would absorb the moisture and repair the damage. The result? A phone that was not only thoroughly waterlogged but also filled to the brim with rice. At this point, the chances of salvaging the device appeared slim, if not futile. The phone had initially suffered from water damage, making this rice-based misunderstanding an unfortunate and costly misadventure.
