Midway through Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video, Kanye West leaped onto the stage, snatching the mic from her grasp. Why? Because he believed his pal Beyoncé deserved the award for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” instead.
“Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, and I’ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time,” he declared before handing back the mic. However, Beyoncé showed class, inviting Swift onstage later to share her Video Of The Year win. But the drama didn’t end there – the feud between West and Swift has rumbled on for years, with diss tracks, social media spats, apologies, and a whole lot of back-and-forth.
