We all experience the urge to escape our responsibilities now and then, and this particular request hits uncomfortably close to home. When a guy asked James to “add some drama to this photo, give me something to jump away from,” he likely had something like a building in mind. However, James had a unique perspective.

Our responsibilities can be terrifying, adding a level of drama, stress, and suspense to our lives that’s hard to match. It may not have been precisely what the person intended, but technically, James fulfilled the request. That’s his interpretation of “drama.” Perhaps next time, a more specific request would yield a different result.
