Sheep Take Shelter
Amidst Iceland’s harsh weather, resourceful sheep seek refuge in tunnels, a sight both amusing and practical. These tunnels provide safety during storms, showcasing Icelandic ingenuity in safeguarding its valuable woolly inhabitants.

We’re optimistic that Iceland has a sufficient number of tunnels to provide shelter for its extensive population of 800,000 sheep. Given the challenging climate of long Icelandic winters, these sheep must possess remarkable strength and resilience to withstand the cold temperatures and variable weather conditions. Nevertheless, we hope that adequate infrastructure and natural features in Iceland, such as tunnels and natural shelters, ensure the well-being of these hardy animals throughout the year.
