Iceland’s Postal Service Goes Above and Beyond
In Iceland, where vast landscapes dwarf human settlements, the postal service exemplifies dedication and ingenuity. A heartfelt example is seen in a letter sent to an Icelandic/Danish family’s remote horse farm, complete with a meticulously hand-drawn map guiding the local postperson through unfamiliar terrain.

We particularly adore how the sender not only sketched a treasure map for the postal worker but also graciously thanked them in Icelandic with “takk fyrir”!
