Battery and charging
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G features a 5000mAh battery. We will do a full battery test in a full review, but we got good battery life from the phone during our everyday usage.

It supports 120W charging using Xiaomi’s proprietary HyperCharge technology. Xiaomi claims it will take 19 minutes to charge the phone completely.
Utilizing the provided 120W charger included in the package, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G managed to go from 1% to 100% in approximately 25 minutes. We’ve obtained similar results from other Xiaomi phones equipped with a 5000mAh battery and 120W charging, despite the company’s claim of 19 minutes. This inconsistency raises questions about Xiaomi’s advertised charging times, which consistently appear to be inaccurate.

Nevertheless, 25 minutes remains an impressively short duration to fully charge a 5000mAh battery, offering around 70% charge in just 15 minutes or 30% in a mere five minutes. However, it’s important to mention that achieving these rapid charging times requires using Xiaomi’s proprietary chargers.
Out of curiosity, we also attempted a full charge using a 65W USB-PD charger, which took slightly over an hour – still a respectable charging speed, albeit not as swift as the proprietary 120W charger.
