Speakers
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G boasts a pair of stereo speakers, one located within the earpiece and the other at the bottom of the phone. Interestingly, the earpiece speaker also features an additional vent at the top of the device, enhancing the overall audio experience.

Unfortunately, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G speakers do not deliver a particularly impressive audio experience. The sound tends to be thinner, lacking the depth and bass many users look for. While we won’t describe the sound as “tinny,” there is a noticeable absence of robust bass and overall richness in the audio quality. Furthermore, the speakers don’t reach particularly high volumes, which can limit outdoor use, although they suffice for indoor settings.
It’s worth noting that when both speakers play together, they exhibit reasonably balanced tonality and volume. However, it’s surprising to observe that when each speaker is played individually, the earpiece speaker produces a more pronounced bass and body than the bottom-firing speaker. This is somewhat unconventional, as most phones typically feature a stronger bottom speaker.
To improve the audio experience, the phone supports the Dolby Atmos codec and audio processing. Enabling this feature enhances the speakers’ spatial characteristics while marginally improving the lows and highs. However, the improvement is relatively modest.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G supports analog audio output through the USB-C port, eliminating the need to invest in aftermarket USB DACs for wired audio. Additionally, users can disable the Dolby Atmos and all other audio processing effects when using wired or wireless headphones, offering greater flexibility and control over the audio experience.
