As kids, our parents teach us not to talk to strangers. While it’s a good rule most of the time, some strangers are kind and have pure intentions – as this next story proves. This woman worked as a cashier at Target and shared with a customer that it was her birthday. The next day, this customer did something completely unexpected.

She returned to the store the next day with a thoughtful birthday gift for the store employee, congratulated her, and gave her a big, much-needed hug. This gesture only cost her $20, which made a huge difference. It doesn’t take much to make someone’s day; all it takes is putting in the thought and showing them that someone cares.
