Pass It On
The tweet below illustrates the story of a young person who works as a graveyard shift cashier in a “rough part of town.” They often receive change with the instructions to “pass it on” or “pay it forward.” The majority of folks who leave said change are homeless, people with an addiction, or “the occasional drunk.” “Because they’ve been there,” the tweet concludes.

It’s always touching to see folks give even beyond their means. The coins and the message of “passing it on” show solidarity for people who’ve fallen on hard times. Everyone’s gone through a rough patch of some sort. We need to do what we can to support each other. We’re all in this together.
