Keep Your Criticisms to Yourself
When you hear the word “boo,” you might think of a ghost or someone concisely expressing disapproval, but is it an appropriate word to jot down on a restaurant bill? The simple answer is no. Even Casper the Friendly Ghost wouldn’t resort to this. However, one individual decided to leave the word “boo” and more in the tip section to convey their dissatisfaction with the service.

This behavior isn’t a game of “How low can you go?” It’s a low blow. Unless a waiter or waitress intentionally caused you harm, they likely did their best to provide good service. Delays in food or subpar taste aren’t typically within their control. So, it’s advisable to keep your criticisms to yourself unless you want the specters of past waitstaff to haunt you.
