Enough people handed employees sweaty, unsanitary money directly from their shoes and undergarments. Money is known to be one of the dirtiest items, so why would employees want to handle cash tainted with sweat?

They’re right; it’s unhealthy for everyone involved. Cashiers shouldn’t have to handle customers’ cash that has come into contact with greasy socks. Who does that anyway? This establishment deserves credit for taking a stand and displaying a sign against such behavior. If customers don’t comply, this business might transition to accepting only credit cards or implementing self-checkout.
