#28: The Next Fort Knox

This person shared this story in response to the previous story about the six-year-old. When they were also six years old, this storyteller was found sleeping outside on the sidewalk a block away from her house! It was pretty late, about 10 pm, and she was all by herself. Thankfully, someone she knew found her.

Her babysitter was taking a late-night walk when she stumbled across our sleeping storyteller. The babysitter picked her up and brought her home, all without waking her up. Her parents were, understandably, terrified by this incident and reinstalled all the locks and latches so that they were out of reach. They joked that their house became the next Fort Knox, and they aren’t exaggerating!
