You’re Not Allowed to Leave
We’ve all encountered Bridezilla stories that leave us both amazed and amused. From demanding bridesmaids to get drastic haircuts to insisting on extravagant gifts or even soliciting donations, some brides push the boundaries of reason. However, there exists a league of bridezillas so comfortable with their demands that they transcend mere words and put their expectations in writing.

It’s customary for wedding invitations to specify start and end times or at least provide a time range for the event. What is far from ordinary in any social context, though, is the explicit threat of terminating friendships if guests dare to depart a little early. This particular bride took it to the next level by going so far as to employ someone to surveil the parking lot. Such behavior not only raises eyebrows but also prompts guests to question the very nature of their relationship with this bride. The boundaries between friendship and coercion blur when demands become injunctions, and this invitation is a prime example of such extreme behavior.
