Who Summoned the Ice Demon?

For most, winter brings a sense of wonder as days grow shorter and nights longer. People spend time indoors with family or venture outdoors for activities like skating on frozen ponds. This family, however, stumbled upon an unusual ice formation.

It appears as though a massive boulder was thrown, shattering the surface of the ice pond, and the freezing temperatures subsequently solidified the splashes of water. If this were Antarctica, it wouldn’t be so surprising, but it seems like someone might have unintentionally summoned an ice demon to create this bizarre scene.
