The Dyatlov Pass Incident
In 1958, a group of nine experienced mountaineers from Russia met a mysterious and gruesome end while hiking in the Ural Mountains. While mountaineering accidents are not uncommon, the circumstances surrounding this incident paint a horrifying picture with more questions than answers.

According to the rescue team, all nine hikers violently tore their tents apart and fled barefoot into the freezing wilderness. Six members died of hypothermia, two suffered fatal chest and neck fractures, and the final hiker, who was missing his tongue, died of severe head trauma. To add to the perplexity, the rescue team discovered that all their clothing was highly radioactive.
