#18: Try Not to Be Terrible
I recall reading about flight attendants diligently assessing passengers as they board the plane, keenly observing for any indications of potential troublemakers—whether they appear excessively drunk, loud, aggressive, or exhibit other concerning behaviors. This heightened vigilance is why I make a concerted effort to exude an exceptionally friendly and composed demeanor when boarding.

It’s crucial for individuals to understand that flying on a plane isn’t an inherent entitlement; rather, it involves being a passenger aboard a privately owned vehicle operated by a private company. Should airline personnel deem that your conduct, such as being disruptive or intoxicated, could pose a threat to the safety or comfort of fellow passengers and crew, they retain the authority to deny your boarding. Therefore, it’s imperative to exercise mindfulness and exhibit appropriate behavior when traversing the skies.
