#2: Brace Yourselves

When I’m on a flight, I often bring a laptop to work or do personal projects. So, while the flight attendants always ask me to dutifully fold away my tray table—because I’m a nice person like that—I often resent it a little bit. I could work for another twenty minutes before landing if I didn’t have to put my tray table away!

But now I know why they make us do that, and I guess I shouldn’t complain because this does seem like a pretty good reason. Should something terrible happen on landing, we’d all be glad to be able to brace ourselves. So the next time I’m on a flight, I guess I won’t complain.
