If you’re frightened of flying, hitting turbulence while in the air can be a really terrifying experience. And I get it! I’m not afraid of flying, but even so, when I hit that turbulence, it can make me a little nervous. Or maybe it’s just that all the movement is making me sick to my stomach, and I’m confusing it for nerves. Either way.

If this describes your experience flying, then don’t be worried! According to this, it’s really hard for turbulence actually to cause a plane to crash. And that makes sense; from what I’ve heard, planes are very sturdy and robust, and it’s actually quite difficult for bad conditions to crash them.
