A Neighborhood Haunt
Many adults and teenagers revel in the spine-tingling aspects of Halloween. However, there are times when they take their Halloween decorations a tad too far. One can’t help but wonder if these adults who dive headfirst into the world of macabre decorations might not have children of their own. Otherwise, they might comprehend how genuinely distressing some of these eerie embellishments can be for young children.

In this particular account, a beleaguered mother had to deal with her one-year-old, who had a traumatic encounter with a motion-activated, shrieking skeleton displayed in front of a neighbor’s house. The skeleton spooked the toddler so profoundly that he had an unexpected bodily reaction and threw a tantrum all the way home. While the neighbors may have reveled in their elaborate skeleton decor, it certainly didn’t earn them any favor in the storyteller’s eyes.
