Getting Political
We’ll be frank with you, dear reader—some people hand out genuinely lackluster trick-or-treat gifts. It’s almost as if they’re indifferent to what their neighbors might think of them. Rest assured, if you’ve ever doled out anything less than sensational candy, your neighbors have probably passed judgment. Our storyteller vividly recalls the most underwhelming Halloween treat they ever received.
Instead of the expected candy, they were presented with a political bumper sticker. What’s a child supposed to do with that, you might wonder? Our storyteller didn’t delve into the aftermath of discovering the bumper sticker, but we can make an educated guess. It’s safe to bet that the sticker found its new home straight in the trash when they returned.
