#15: When Halloween Plans Collide
Believe it or not, parents are considerate of those who choose not to participate in trick-or-treating. If your porch light is off, we won’t bother knocking. The surprising aspect of this post is that people need to mention specific names at the gate to be allowed to trick-or-treat in your neighborhood.
Have you considered discussing this with your neighbors? If it’s causing such an issue, maybe you could close the gate with a sign that reads “Closed for Halloween.” You seem to reside in a pleasant neighborhood; wouldn’t you want to be the house giving out full-sized candy bars and bringing smiles to mini-Spider-Man faces?
