#25: Evaluating Cars and Neighborhoods
Assessing cars based on their Kelley Blue Book value is quite a Karen-esque approach. The vehicle in question doesn’t even appear to be an eyesore; it seems well-maintained. The residents should have taken a hint when law enforcement declined involvement in removing the car. One can’t help but wonder how much they’re paying to reside in that neighborhood.
If it’s a gated community, one would assume such issues wouldn’t arise. What’s particularly unsettling is that nine individuals agreed with this perspective. While the desire for an upscale-looking neighborhood is understandable, if a single car evokes feelings of threat, the neighborhood’s appeal may not be as strong as it claims.
