#31: Mathematical Misunderstanding
It’s quite entertaining when someone passionately protests only to be entirely mistaken. The fact that she attempted to calculate the situation in the post and still missed that she benefited and was undercharged is quite ironic. Kudos to the manager for not pointing out her error. I might have jokingly said, “Ma’am, you now owe us $0.20 if you’d like to pursue this.”
Given the coin shortage, reconciling the register at the end of the day must be challenging. Some individuals have lost jobs due to minor register discrepancies. My local Quiktrip has even stopped providing change; managing it all must be daunting. I make sure to use my coins each visit, and the staff appreciates it.
