Trashy Behaviour
It’s truly remarkable how some individuals exhibit levels of entitlement coupled with a tinge of laziness that can be quite astounding. Admittedly, there are moments when I find myself indulging in daydreams about the luxury of hiring someone to take care of household chores, particularly since I harbor a strong aversion to such tasks. The thought of being able to delegate cleaning responsibilities to someone else can indeed be alluring, especially when faced with the mundane and time-consuming aspects of maintaining a tidy living space. While this inclination may stem from a desire for convenience, it’s important to recognize the fine line between convenience and entitlement, acknowledging the privilege inherent in being able to outsource domestic duties.
Even in the hypothetical scenario where I could afford to hire someone for household chores, I would never dream of requesting that they undertake an hour-long journey solely to take out the trash. Regardless of the size of the residence, the task of disposing of garbage typically requires no more than a minute or so. It’s unfathomable to me how one could rationalize asking another person to squander two hours of their time to perform a chore that could be completed in mere moments. The disparity between the effort required and the time invested in such a request is glaring, highlighting the absurdity of expecting someone to expend excessive time and effort on menial tasks that could easily be managed independently.
