Only the Best Is Good Enough
Reflecting on my childhood, I never held much interest in Legos, so I was taken aback as an adult when I discovered the steep prices attached to certain Lego sets. Some of these sets command prices in the hundreds of dollars! While it’s understandable that for ardent enthusiasts, investing in these sets may seem justified, it strikes me as rather extravagant to lavish such sums on elaborate Lego sets for a child who may not yet possess the skills or maturity to appreciate or utilize them fully.
It’s a valid consideration whether these parents are acquainted with Duplos, essentially larger-sized Legos tailored for small children. Opting for Duplos could potentially offer a more suitable and enjoyable play experience for their young ones. It’s logical to prioritize selecting toys that align with the child’s developmental stage and interests. Thus, it’s worth pondering whether the primary criterion in choosing a toy should be its appeal to the child rather than its price or status.
