A Cousin Connection
This story treads the line between being somber, touching, and slightly eerie. The storyteller had a daughter born just two months apart from a baby cousin named Lisa. Tragically, Lisa’s life was cut short at barely a year old, preventing the two cousins from growing up together and playing side by side, or so everyone thought.

One day, when the storyteller’s daughter was around three, they looked through old family photos. As they reached an image of Lisa, their daughter displayed genuine excitement and recognition. She confidently identified Lisa and claimed to have always played with her in the sandbox. It turned out that, in her way, Lisa had found a means to keep her little cousin company, transcending the boundaries of life and death.
