A Family Legacy
Researchers have proposed that young children can be influenced by family members when it comes to perceiving and hearing supernatural phenomena. Such influence may indeed be significant. If a child’s parent or sibling frequently discusses ghosts and premonitions, the child may become more naturally attuned to noticing such occurrences independently.

Even when a child attempts to deny the influence, it can persist. This woman, for instance, has a daughter who initially dismissed her mother’s interest in ghosts and the supernatural as mere nonsense. However, her skepticism was challenged when she experienced a supernatural presence firsthand. Both mother and daughter felt the presence of the deceased, seemingly following them around the house. Reluctantly, the daughter had to acknowledge that she had inherited her mother’s sixth sense.
