From Will to David
Children often surprise their parents with the words that come from their mouths. At age three, this woman’s son introduced himself as “David” instead of his given name, “Will.” At first glance, these are fairly ordinary names. However, this revelation was startling because “David” was the name of another child the storyteller had given birth to many years earlier.

Sadly, the earlier-born David had passed away due to premature birth. The storyteller had never discussed this loss in front of her three-year-old son. Therefore, his insistence on being called “David” carried a profound emotional weight, as it seemingly connected him to his deceased brother in a way that transcended mere coincidence.
