And No Time to Recharge, Too
Having children means you can kiss goodbye to the luxury of locking yourself in your room for days. The only time you’ll emerge from your self-imposed isolation is to use the bathroom or grab food to prevent starvation. Why? Rest assured, if you ever try such a tactic, the kids will inevitably burst into the room without a second thought (or let you starve in peace).
Children are like social battery vampires, capable of draining your entire reserves of energy and attention in just an hour, and then they’ll demand even more. They need to be fed, cared for, and entertained. Essentially, they’ll leave you feeling utterly depleted. One can only hope that as they grow older, they become part of your social bubble and require less constant attention. Until then, they remain incredibly high-maintenance. Maybe they’ll appreciate it when they grow into introverted adults.
