This is especially relatable given the effort required to put a child to sleep on certain days. You’d do anything to avoid making a noise that could wake them up, subjecting you to the entire bedtime routine.
It’s like Sisyphus pushing that boulder uphill, except in this case, we’re attempting to postpone the inevitable return of that boulder rolling back down until tomorrow night. Of course, this comes at the cost of a scratchy throat and discomfort in our lungs, particularly when dealing with a cold.
