#3: ADHD
Many people live with conditions that go undiagnosed and untreated for years. Once they finally get treatment, they realize how other people may perceive the world and interact with it. This person lived with what we’re assuming is ADHD or something along those lines. Their whole life, they assumed that everyone was always thinking in overdrive.
Their brain was always thinking about several things at once. Once they started taking medication, they realized that the brain can, in fact, focus on one thing at a time. It was a pretty mind-blowing revelation. They admitted that the first time they experienced their brain on medication, it was a bit overwhelming. They were so used to experiencing the world in a certain way that this “new” way surprised them.
