The Tree of Ténéré
The Tree of Ténéré was once considered the most isolated tree in the world, standing alone in the vast expanse of the Sahara Desert. It served as a landmark for travelers crossing the desert and was a symbol of resilience, surviving in one of the harshest environments on Earth.

Sadly, in 1973, a truck driver knocked down the tree, ending its centuries-long legacy. In its place, a metal sculpture now stands to commemorate the tree and the role it played in guiding desert travelers.
