A Huge Part of Korea
Before 1945, Korea was a united nation with a shared history and culture. However, the division of Korea following World War II created two separate countries—North Korea and South Korea. Over the decades, the differences between the two nations have grown stark, with North Korea becoming one of the most isolated and secretive countries in the world.

Discussions about reunification have taken place, but ongoing political tensions, particularly regarding nuclear weapons, make it improbable. The Korea of the past, a unified country with shared traditions, seems like a distant memory as the two Koreas continue to live in separation.
