The Caribbean Town of Plymouth
Plymouth, the capital of the Caribbean island of Montserrat, was once a bustling town with a vibrant culture and thriving tourism industry. However, in 1995, the Soufrière Hills volcano erupted, burying the town under layers of ash and lava.

Authorities forced the residents to evacuate, and since that time, Plymouth has remained abandoned. Despite the passage of years, no one has returned to rebuild or repopulate the town, leaving it frozen in time, a silent testament to the events that led to its desertion. Although the rest of Montserrat has recovered and continues to welcome visitors, Plymouth remains a ghost town, a stark reminder of the destructive power of nature. The town is now a time capsule, preserved in volcanic ash but lost to time.
