The Duckbill Rock Formation
Located in Oregon’s Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area, the Duckbill Rock Formation was a unique sandstone structure that resembled a duck. It was a popular tourist destination, and visitors often marveled at its unusual shape.

Unfortunately, in 2016, a group of vandals deliberately destroyed the formation, knocking it over and leaving only rubble behind. The public reacted with outrage to the senseless act of vandalism, and the once-iconic formation is now gone for good, with only photos remaining to remind us of its peculiar beauty.
